Our Teaching Philosophy
More Than Riding Lessons
At Champion Farms, learning to ride means learning to care for and handle a horse safely—not simply getting on and riding.
Our goal is for riders to develop the skills and confidence to eventually care for a horse independently. If a student leaves our program, purchases a horse, and keeps that horse at home, we want them to know how to safely bring their horse in from the pasture, groom, tack up, ride, untack, and properly put their horse away.
That's why these skills are part of our lesson program from the beginning. Riders learn horsemanship from the ground up, developing practical skills and an understanding of the responsibility that comes with owning and riding horses.
We aren't just teaching riders how to ride. We're teaching them how to be horsemen.
